So, what is healing?

Healing is difficult. It does not matter what scenario you are trying to recover from. The process is just painful. Sleep will be your refuge because you get to escape from the reality of getting hurt for a while.
Don't forget about the questions. The inevitable "why?", and as you keep on uttering it, the more you cry. Some will say "get over it", "move forward already", or the ever famous advice, "just LET GO".
But what they don't understand is that embracing the monster that continues to rake its claws into your precious heart is part of your HEALING. Thinking of what happened, replaying images and scenarios in your head over and over again is part of your HEALING. Crying yourself to sleep, drowning your face into your pillow as you scream, hitting yourself, sitting on your bedroom floor, hugging your cat as you helplessly sob, is part of your HEALING.
Pain is part of your HEALING!
Sad, isn't it? That you have to go through so much, REPEATEDLY, for you to finally smile, AGAIN.
